What's New to 2026 at Butler Diaries

What's New to 2026 at Butler Diaries

At Butler Diaries, we know how much thought and heart Early Childhood Education and Care professionals and Tradies put into their daily work. That’s why each year, we take feedback seriously, stay on top of compliance updates, and listen to the needs of our community. The result? A diary collection that evolves with you — not just for you.

Our 2026 collection is here, and it’s packed with thoughtful updates, new designs, and flexible tools to support your documentation, planning, and day-to-day organisation. Whether you’re an Educator, Educational Leader, FDC Coordinator, Cook, Tradie, or Centre Manager, here’s what’s new for 2026.

Fresh Cover Designs – Reflecting Your Work

Our covers have remained unchanged for many years, but we heard you. You wanted documentation that doesn't just work for you internally, but also brought life to your pages. Our 2026 covers are more than just pretty prints — they tell a story. For 2026, we’ve introduced our First Nations-inspired Journey of Learning Series, a collaboration with acclaimed First Nations artist Anne Leon – Nhuralama. These designs speak to connection, growth, and journey — the essence of Early Childhood education.

"Journey by Learning" is a visual narrative that explores the dynamic and interconnected pathways of education, leadership, and community engagement. The artwork is designed to be viewed both as a unified whole and as four individual sections, each telling its own story while contributing to the larger narrative.

We've also introduced Guest Artist covers to bring your unique personalities to life. Glasshouse Mountains... fun & adventurous. Are you the fun and adventurious type? Does nature call to you? Then this is you. Blue heaven... restful & calm. Do you have a love for flowers? Are you calm and restful, a peaceful soul? This is your perfect choice. Dancing with pink... wild & beautiful. Do you like seeing your feelings come alive in abstract pieces? Is your spirit wild? This is you. And finally, Desert Flowers... touch & resilient. Are you tough and strong, admired by others, and a pillar of what you believe in, no matter the pushback from around you? Then this is you.

All-New Diaries and Additions

Here’s what’s been added to the Butler Diaries range in 2026:

Brand New Training Portal

The Butler Training Portal has been developed as another avenue of support for our customers. It includes a range of training opportunities such as:

  • Tutorials these are short 5-15 minute video tutorials that cover key topics or questions to support you in using your Diaries and Butler Resources.
  • Guides - these are 10-25 minute guides that focus on a particular Diary or resource and provide support on how to use the different features included.
  • Professional Development - these are longer 30-90 in-depth professional developments that focus on core principles in ECEC in the context of your Diary or Resource.

The Butler Training Portal is an ongoing tool that will continue to feature new trainings. You can see what is available and coming soon inside the portal. If you have any feedback on what you’d like to see next, email us at training@butlerdiaries.com.

Enhanced Features and Improvements

We've refined our most-loved diaries and resources to make them even more user-friendly:

  • Matching LO colours for stickers, printer pack, highlighter, and Diaries - We've now matched up the colours of your Framework Stickers (in your Diary and in the Sticker Packs), EYLF/MTOP highlighter pen, printer pack stickers, and headings inside your Weekly Programming and Reflection Diaries - making it even clear where your links are.
  • Updated Frameworks - We've updated the QLD Kindy Weekly Programming and Reflection Diary with the newest QKLG Framework.
  • Clearer programming and reflection prompts in the Weekly Programming and Reflection Diary – A more open-ended programming spread now makes it even easier to document, without boxing in your style.
  • Office and Leader Diaries - Our Office and Leader Diaries now have the 3 month previews back on every weekend page.
  • Stronger Hard Covers – We know these books are used daily; this year’s stock is even more robust with even sturdier hard covers.
