FAQ

Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions

The register gives you a single, consistent place to record and monitor every child's immunisation status against the National Immunisation Program schedule. With columns for each milestone (2, 4, 6, 12, and 18 months, and 3.5–4 years), a Next Due Date column, and a Comments section, it replaces the scattered photocopies, spreadsheets, and emails many services rely on – and keeps your service inspection-ready at all times.

Set aside a short block each term to update the register alongside enrolment reviews, and use the Next Due Date column proactively – a quick scan tells you which families to follow up with before a vaccination is overdue. The abbreviation guide at the foot of every page (UTD-IHS, UTD-MC, CS-IHF, MC, CO) means new staff can pick the book up and contribute straight away.

The Immunisation Register is typically maintained by the Nominated Supervisor, Director, or administrator responsible for enrolment records, but the clear layout means any educator or office staff member can update it accurately. It's suitable for Long Day Care, Family Day Care, OSHC, Preschool, and Occasional Care services.

The register provides direct evidence under QA2 (Children's Health and Safety) by showing you hold accurate, current immunisation information as required under the Education and Care Services National Regulations. It also supports QA7 (Governance and Leadership) by demonstrating a systematic, proactive approach to compliance record-keeping – exactly what authorised officers and assessors want to see.
