    FAQ

Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions

The OSHC Programming Diary uses My Time, Our Place for school aged children and its box prompts have been designed with ACECQA OSHC documentation requirements of an educational program that supports active, passive, structure, and spontaneous activities in both the indoor and outdoor environments. It makes the planning cycle visible and makes it easy for all children to participate in the program.

The OSHC Weekly Programming and Reflection Diary has been designed using the My Time, Our Place Framework for school aged children. The box prompts are built to prompt learning for older children that is relevant and values a holistic view of the child. The prompts are specifically designed to build a program for children 5 through to 13 years that supports active, passive, structure, and spontaneous activities in both the indoor and outdoor environments.

No, you are only required to document the educational program for these school aged children and to show how each individual child’s strengths, ideas, abilities, and interested have formed the program and are progressing across learning outcomes. You can use the observation tracker in the reflection spread to note group observations that have been captured (via photograph, notes, programmed experiences, or observations if you choose) to show how your program is considering each and every child or to note a particular learning outcome you’ve observed being achieved by a child. (check your most recent state's regs regarding this)

"Each diary that we use is laid out in such a way that ALL compliance and record keeping is there - it simply needs to be filled out - each individual diary ticks all the compliance boxes - all the educators have to do is fill them out - it is really simple and easy to understand - This ensures everything is easy to find and on show for spot checks etc. Also no need to go back and fill in missing gaps as everything is there."

Common feedback that we hear is that our Diaries keep everything is one place. With the pressure of Assessment and Rating and so much paperwork, it can make staying organised difficult. We reduce compliance confusion and support you in keeping everything together - particularly handy now with reduced time notices before A&R now in effect.
